Willingdon Church Ramblers

St Mary's Ramblers

We are a friendly group of people who get together once a month for a ramble through our lovely countryside. We welcome anyone who would like to join us and we meet every third Monday of the month at 10.30 am at Chalk Farm, Willingdon

November & December Rambles

On an extremely blustery day, on 20th November, (so gusty that someone lost their hat before we even started!) 17 people braved the wind for a walk from Warren Hill to East Dean and back. We found a slightly sheltered spot outside the Tiger Inn for our picnic, although a few of our number took shelter inside. We only got caught in a heavy shower on the last lap back to the cars.
Our final walk of the year took place on 18th December, a bright day following a thick frost. 26 ramblers walked from East Dean to Birling Gap. Here we had coffee and mincepies prior to the return walk.

January Ramble

The January ramble will be on Monday 15th January, meeting usual place and time, for a seafront walk at Eastbourne. A new itinerary is in the process of being compiled and we look forward to another good year of walking in our lovely countryside. A new itinerary will be available soon. If anyone has any ideas for new walks/areas please do get in touch, or for further information please contact Lesley and Roger.
